My name is Walter Gaskew, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor. I completed my undergraduate program in Psychology at Carroll University, and completed my Master’s degree in Counseling with a Specialization in Forensic Psychology from Adler University.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2012, and I have extensive experience facilitating groups and individual counseling with those living with mental illness and substance use disorder issues in inpatient/hospital facilities, and outpatient settings. That wide range of clinical experience has allowed me to work with folks from diverse backgrounds to support them on their journeys in life.

I am someone who believes in utilizing a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy. I focus on working with my clients to help them get to where they want to go in their journey of self-improvement. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing strategies to foster hope and facilitate change with my clients.
