Walter Gaskew is a Licensed Clinical Practicing Counselor. He completed his undergraduate program in Psychology at Carroll University, and completed his Master’s degree in Counseling with a Specialization in Forensic Psychology from Adler University.

Walter began working in the mental health field in 2012 at an inpatient mental health facility in Chicago working with adolescent males with behavioral disorders. Since then, he has worked with individuals with mental illness and substance use disorder issues in both inpatient and outpatient settings. He has worked in hospital settings and community mental health.

He believes in utilizing a collaborative, strengths-based approach to therapy. He utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing strategies to foster hope and facilitate change with his patients.
