Dr. Pinto is the co-founder of Naperville Clinical Associates. Dr. Pinto graduated from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in 1989 and completed her internship at Charter Barclay Hospital in Chicago. She has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1991, and has 29 years of clinical experience. Dr. Pinto has served as an inpatient unit director at Charter Barclay and was the Director of Practicum Training and Assistant Director of Internship Training at Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville for 3 years.
Dr. Pinto has been a passionate advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and has led many committees dedicated to public awareness of the issues survivors face. She has also served as an expert witness in cases alleging Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Dr. Pinto has special interest in working with family members who have lost a loved one to suicide and helping to decrease the stigma of suicide. Her other clinical areas of specialty include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, personality disorders and family therapy. Dr. Pinto is warm, empathic and incorporates humor into her therapy sessions. She is goal-oriented and sees the therapeutic process as a collaborative one in which all parties involved regularly evaluate goals and progress made. Her practice is limited to adults.
