Caroline M. Morrison, M.D.
Dr. Morrison has been a psychiatrist in private practice in Naperville
since 1992. She is the co-founder of Naperville Clinical Associates.
Dr. Morrison received her undergraduate degree with honors in
Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago and her medical
degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed
her internship in Internal Medicine and her residency in Psychiatry
at Rush Medical Center in Chicago where she was Chief Resident
in Psychiatry. Dr. Morrison is board certified in Psychiatry by
the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has been awarded
a certificate in advanced clinical psychopharmacology from the
American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. Dr. Morrison
is a member of the American Medical Association and the American
Psychiatric Association.
Currently, Dr. Morrison specializes in the outpatient psychiatric
treatment of adult patients with depression, bipolar and anxiety
disorders and ADHD. She has a special interest in the treatment
of women with psychiatric illness during pregnancy and postpartum
and in treatment refractory depression.
Lisa A. Pinto, Psy.D.
Dr. Pinto is the co-founder of Naperville Clinical Associates.
Dr. Pinto graduated from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology
in 1989 and completed her internship at Charter Barclay Hospital
in Chicago. She has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since
1991, and has 20 years of clinical experience. Dr. Pinto has served
as an inpatient unit director at Charter Barclay and was the Director
of Practicum Training and Assistant Director of Internship Training
at Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville for 3 years. In addition,
she was elected as the Linden Oaks Hospital Allied Staff President
for 2 years and has sat on numerous peer committees.
Dr. Pinto has been a passionate advocate for survivors of sexual
abuse and has led many committees dedicated to public awareness
of the issues survivors face. She has also served as an expert
witness in cases alleging Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She
is also very interested in working with survivors of suicide and
helping to decrease the stigma of suicide. Her other clinical
areas of specialty include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety,
ADHD, personality disorders and family therapy. Her practice is
limited to adults and adolescents 16 and older.
Dr. Pinto is currently on the Ethics Committee for the Illinois
Psychological Association and is also affiliated with the American
Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Teresa A. Gorno-Reid, Psy.D.
Dr. Gorno-Reid has been engaged in the process of clinical work
for more than 16 years with over 11 of those years in a private
practice setting. Her work is dedicated to individual psychotherapy
with adults. She utilizes a psychodynamic approach, attending
to current issues and symptoms in the context of earlier life
experiences, as well as highlighting the relational nature of
therapy as a means for intrapersonal growth and potential change.
Dr. Gorno-Reid specializes in the treatment of depression and
related anxiety, has a particular interest in women's issues,
as well as offers an expertise in the treatment of older adults.
Dr. Gorno-Reid’s education and clinical training are extensive.
Following her undergraduate work at Saint Mary's College in Notre
Dame, Indiana, she earned multiple graduate degrees. Dr. Gomo-Reid
holds a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago, where she
studied adult development and aging. Her second Master’s
degree is from Northwestern University in counseling psychology.
While enrolled at Northwestern, Dr. Gomo-Reid was awarded the
Winn-Anderson Fellowship in Gerontology in recognition of her
study and work related to older adults. She completed her doctoral
degree in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional
Psychology, graduating with honors. Her clinical training sites
include Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Michael Reese Hospital
and Medical Center, as well as Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville.
Dr. Gomo-Reid is an established member of several professional
organizations, including the American Psychological Association,
Illinois Psychological Association, Gerontological Society of
America, and the American Society on Aging.
Monica Schmitt, Psy.D.
Dr. Schmitt is a licensed clinical psychologist.
Dr. Schmitt received her undergraduate degree from Bradley University.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bradley University. Dr. Schmitt
went on to receive her doctorate in clinical psychology from the
Chicago School of
Professional Psychology. She completed her diagnostic training
at
Hartgrove Hospital, an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Dr. Schmitt
has had extensive psychotherapy training with the college student
population. She worked at Lake Forest College Counseling Center
for several years. She then completed her internship at Texas
Tech University Student Counseling Center. Dr. Schmitt has taught
undergraduate psychology students at Lake Forest College.
Dr. Schmitt continues to enjoy treating young adults and adolescents,
who are struggling with developmental milestones. She has a particular
interest
in couples/marital therapy. In addition, Dr. Schmitt has an interest
in
working with adults who present with relational and interpersonal
difficulties, depression and anxiety.
Dr. Schmitt is also interested in addressing the issue of binge
drinking among high school students. Dr. Schmitt addresses the
topic of binge drinking via presentations, one of which was recently
completed at Benet Academy. Dr. Schmitt also consults with the
University of Chicago Laboratory Schools.
Dr. Schmitt is professionally affiliated with the Illinois Psychological
Association, the American Psychological Association and the National
Alliance of the Mentally Ill. She is also a registrant with the
National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.
