Caroline M. Morrison, M.D.

Dr. Morrison has been a psychiatrist in private practice in Naperville since 1992. She is the co-founder of Naperville Clinical Associates. Dr. Morrison received her undergraduate degree with honors in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago and her medical degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine and her residency in Psychiatry at Rush Medical Center in Chicago where she was Chief Resident in Psychiatry. Dr. Morrison is board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has been awarded a certificate in advanced clinical psychopharmacology from the American Society of Clinical Psychopharmacology. Dr. Morrison is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Psychiatric Association.

Currently, Dr. Morrison specializes in the outpatient psychiatric treatment of adult patients with depression, bipolar and anxiety disorders and ADHD. She has a special interest in the treatment of women with psychiatric illness during pregnancy and postpartum and in treatment refractory depression.

Lisa A. Pinto, Psy.D.

Dr. Pinto is the co-founder of Naperville Clinical Associates. Dr. Pinto graduated from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in 1989 and completed her internship at Charter Barclay Hospital in Chicago. She has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 1991, and has 20 years of clinical experience. Dr. Pinto has served as an inpatient unit director at Charter Barclay and was the Director of Practicum Training and Assistant Director of Internship Training at Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville for 3 years. In addition, she was elected as the Linden Oaks Hospital Allied Staff President for 2 years and has sat on numerous peer committees.

Dr. Pinto has been a passionate advocate for survivors of sexual abuse and has led many committees dedicated to public awareness of the issues survivors face. She has also served as an expert witness in cases alleging Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. She is also very interested in working with survivors of suicide and helping to decrease the stigma of suicide. Her other clinical areas of specialty include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, personality disorders and family therapy. Dr. Pinto is warm, empathic and incorporates humor into her therapy sessions. She is goal-oriented and sees the therapeutic process as a collaborative one in which all parties involved regularly evaluate goals and progress made. Her practice is limited to adults and adolescents 16 and older.

Teresa A. Gorno-Reid, Psy.D.

Dr. Gorno-Reid has been engaged in the process of clinical work for more than 19 years with over 14 of those years in a private practice setting. Her work is dedicated to individual psychotherapy with adults. She utilizes a psychodynamic approach, attending to current issues and symptoms in the context of earlier life experiences, as well as highlighting the relational nature of therapy as a means for intrapersonal growth and potential change. Dr. Gorno-Reid specializes in the treatment of depression and related anxiety, has a particular interest in women's issues, as well as offers an expertise in the treatment of older adults.

Dr. Gorno-Reid’s education and clinical training are extensive. Following her undergraduate work at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana, she earned multiple graduate degrees. Dr. Gorno-Reid holds a Master of Arts from the University of Chicago, where she studied adult development and aging. Her second Master’s degree is from Northwestern University in counseling psychology. While enrolled at Northwestern, Dr. Gorno-Reid was awarded the Winn-Anderson Fellowship in Gerontology in recognition of her study and work related to older adults. She completed her doctoral degree in clinical psychology at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, graduating with honors. Her clinical training sites include Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, as well as Linden Oaks Hospital in Naperville.

Dr. Gorno-Reid is an established member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychological Association, Illinois Psychological Association, Gerontological Society of America, and the American Society on Aging.

Monica Schmitt, Psy.D.

Dr. Schmitt is a licensed clinical psychologist. She received her undergraduate degree from Bradley University. Dr. Schmitt went on to receive her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her clinical training sites have included Hartgrove Hospital, Lake Forest College Counseling Center and Texas Tech University Student Counseling Center.

Dr. Schmitt specializes in treating young adults who are struggling with difficult life transitions, depression and anxiety. She has a particular interest in working with mothers to be and in the treatment of postpartum depression/anxiety. Her other clinical interests include binge drinking, couples/marital therapy and gay/lesbian/bisexual issues.

Dr. Schmitt’s therapeutic approach is warm, accepting, interactive and collaborative. Her style as a therapist encourages a relationship of trust and a sense of safety for her clients. As trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship evolves, she empowers and gently encourages her clients to go outside of their comfort zone to find greater understanding and meaning in their lives. As a clinician, she sees each individual client as a unique person. Given this, she tailors her therapeutic approach to each client's needs and to each client's strengths.

Dr. Schmitt is professionally affiliated with the Illinois Psychological Association, the American Psychological Association and the National Alliance of the Mentally Ill. She is also a registrant with the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology.

Deanna K. Weiss, PsyD

Deanna K. Weiss, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has provided comprehensive treatment to children, families and adults for over 15 years. Dr Weiss completed her undergraduate degree with honors in Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana and her graduate masters and doctorate degrees with honors in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She has completed internship, residency and post-doctoral training from Tinley Park Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Center (inpatient training), University of Chicago Hospital, Chicago Children’s Memorial Hospital and Alexian Brothers Hospital. Dr. Weiss is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Illinois Psychology Association and the Pediatric Psychology Association.

Dr. Weiss incorporates warmth, humor and cognitive/behavioral and solution based-methods into her practice. She collaborates with her clients toward the development of meaningful therapy goals. Her training and experience allow her to thoughtfully assist families in addressing their child’s stress, anxiety, grief, depression, adjustment difficulties, or social skill problems and to treat adulthood issues related to anxiety, depression and life stress. Dr. Weiss focuses part of her practice on working with psychological issues related to chronic medical illness and family adjustment to medical problems.

In addition to her private practice therapy services, Dr. Weiss provides a seminar series to parents, teachers, and medical/mental health practitioners focused on topics in her areas of interest including child psychology, anxiety disorders and medical psychology.
