Dr. Suzanne Pinto is a licensed clinical psychologist.  She received her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College as well as a law degree from the University of Pittsburgh.

Dr. Pinto earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  Her clinical training sites included Elgin Mental Health Center, the University of Chicago Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation, St. James Hospital and Health Centers, and Gateway Foundation.

Dr. Pinto’s focus is on treating adults and adolescents with a wide range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder.  Her clinical interests include adolescent and adult life transitions, relationship/marital issues, stress management, abuse and trauma, and substance use disorders.

Dr. Pinto’s overall approach is collaborative and based on empathy and respect. Treatment is centered on the client’s individualized needs.  She integrates several therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and solution focused strategies.  Dr. Pinto also incorporates mindfulness, acceptance, and relaxation techniques into the therapeutic process as appropriate.

Dr. Pinto has worked at various facilities including Hartgrove, Linden Oaks, and Central DuPage Hospitals.  She is a member of the American Psychological Association.
